Just in time for Christmas shopping, retailers in Three Hills stay open late one Friday night in early December and roll out their best prices on regular stock and special seasonal items for the throngs of people that stroll the packed downtown sidewalks. Many stores have hourly specials, free giveaways and draws for exciting gifts.
If you’re downtown at 6 PM, watch as we turn the Christmas lights on at the water tower — Alberta’s tallest Christmas tree!
It’s perfect timing for some early Christmas shopping, and what would Christmas shopping be without Santa and Mrs. Claus? From 6 – 9 PM, you can visit Santa Claus at Three Hills Home Hardware and Building Center; a photographer will be on hand to snap your FREE photo. And there’s huge fun for the kids with Face Painting with Mrs. Claus from 6 – 9 PM, PLUS a fireworks display at 9 PM!
From 7 – 9 PM, Santa will be spreading ho-ho-ho’s at the Three Hills Loonie Store, too; you can take your own photo, and it’s FREE. His helpers will be handing out FREE light wands to all the kids while they last, and you can shop the many in-store specials.
Make sure you don’t miss any of this other Moonlight Madness fun:
6 – 9 PM at the Fire Hall, Three Hills Fire Department first responders will be handing out bags of candy to the kids and taking them for rides in the Rescue Unit with Santa Claus. It’s a great chance to visit with the fire department volunteers and explore all the other fire trucks in the hall, too.
6 – 9 PM, kids and parents are welcome to hop on the open air horse-drawn wagon for a spin around downtown. The ride leaves from the parking lot of the the Royal Bank.
6 – 9 PM Relax for awhile with some hot chocolate and cookies behind the Royal Bank while you warm up around the fire pit and listen to some favourite music of the season.
6 – 9 PM, Sandstone Pharmacies Three Hills will be grilling up smokies on the BBQ. Enjoy them with all the fixings and a hot cup of cider while you check out the many in-store specials.
